How to get there:

If you are from Cebu City, from SM City Cebu, you ride V-hire to Danao City. Fare is Php. 50.00 each.
or you can ride jeepney to Danao.

It is an hour travel and you will have your stop at Gaisano Danao.

From there, you can ride a pedicab to Danao Port for a price of Php.8.00 – Php. 10.00 each.

At Danao Port, buy your ticket there to Consuelo Wharf at the price of Php 180.00 (ordinary) or Php 200.00 (aircon) and an additional Php 5.00 for terminal fee.

It’s a two (2) hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes travel to Consuelo wharf, so better have your meal before boarding in.

At last, after 2 hours and minutes of travel, we set our foot at Consuelo wharf camotes.
Jomalia Shipping is the only shipping that serves transport service to consuelo wharf.

We were fetch by this multicab from Consuelo Wharf to the resort we were staying at the price of Php 50.00 per head.
And that guy on blue shirt is Alchie or Archie. you can contact him at 09157740915. Later did I know that he is the president of the driver’s association.
So he can cater your tour around the Island.

Where to stay:

You can choose where to stay, either in Mangodlong or Santiago.

In Mangodlong, there’s Mangodlong Rock Resort and Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort to name a few. Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort is a bit expensive.

Meanwhile, in Santiago White Beach, you can choose for more option.

Since that time Santiago Bay Garden & Resort is fully booked, i looked for a resort near to it. So I found BellavistaMare Beach Resort.

Php 1,350.00 for airconditioned room
Php 850.00 for fan room.

BellaVistaMare Beach Resort i guess has only 2 Airconditioned Room, 2 Fan Room and 1 Family Room since the other one is i think they are occupying it.

But I would rather stay here if Santiago Bay Garden is fully booked than other resort. 🙂

Santiago White Beach is not deep. It’s just around 4ft to 5ft deep on high tide

BellaVistaMare resort only serves breakfast. Filipino Breakfast choices of
egg+rice+coffee / milo / tea + cornbeef / longanisa / ham / maling for Php. 70.00 only.
And an additional Php 10.00 if you want coke for your drinks.

If you are on a 12:00 noon trip to consuelo, and you will be staying at Bellavista Resort, you can text them for an advance order so that when you arrive, your food is ready.

Where to eat:

If you are staying at Santiago, You have a lot of choices as to where to eat.

But my favorite is Pito’s Sutokil. (Sutokil means SUgba-TOwa-KILaw)
Their foods taste good and it’s also very affordable.

Sinigang is Php. 80.00 – Good for 4 persons
And some foods are good for 2 persons

Shrimp Sinigang – Php 80.00 – Good for 4 persons
Grilled Fish – Php 80.00 – Good for 2 persons
Grilled Pork – Php 80.00 – Good for 2 persons

Sizzling pork Sisig w/ egg – good for 2 persons @ the price of Php 110.00

Another good thing about Pito’s Sutokil is that you can have an advance order through text. Their number is on the menu.

The Land Tour

You can have a choice of Motorcycle or Multicab for your land tour service. Of course, it has a driver.

Motorcycle = Php 500.00
Multicab = Php 1,500.00 (not per head, so if you want convenience, you might want to consider this option)

Originally, the itinerary of the package are, Baywalk, Timubo Cave , Lake Danao and Mangodlong. But i asked alchie that he add Boho Rock without extra charge (that is supposedly Php 500.00 additional) and fortunately he agree.

It’s actually a diving site.

This is near baywalk and This is their wet market.

They have Barbeque here that the prices are just like the prices in the Cebu City.

Next Stop : Timubo Cave

Entrance fee is Php 15.00

Timubo cave has a fresh water spring inside. But you have to hike a few meters from here.

Water level is 5ft during low tide and 6ft during high tide.

Next Stop : Lake Danao Park

You can go across the island by Sakanaw or you can go Kayak.

And Last on the list is Mangodlong Beach Resort.
Entrance fee is only Php 15.00

Travel tips :
• It’s best to go to Camotes during good weather. It’s a 2 hours sea travel and waves could get pretty huge if wind is strong.
• You might want to bring White Flower Oil in case of sea sickness
• Bring Extra Money
• Prepare yourself for the long trip

Danao Coco Palms Resort 2

This is their new pool, I think it is around 4ft to 5ft deep. and also a mini Jacuzzi. It looks like an infinity pool to me.. 🙂

We brought our 1.5 Liters of Coke so we just ask for a glass with ice.

Comment: They put so many things in their pork sisig like green cayenne pepper , onions, tomato, and etc… Not the pork sisig I imagine of.. But at least it taste good.

their baby backribs is not like the baby back ribs that you can buy from Casa verde or Bigbys.

Their spicy chicken wings is 5 pieces per order.. and it taste good.. I like it.

A good service + a good resort = worth spending money

How to get there: If you’re from Cebu city, you can ride V-hire @ SM City Cebu V-hire terminal which will take you to Gaisano Danao but will also pass in front of Elsalvador Beach Resort at the fare of P50.00 each.

You can also stop at Gaisano Danao if you want where you can have your grocery and such, and ride a tricycle in the terminal to the resort at the fare of P8.00 – P10.00 per head.

If you’re bringing your own car, you take the route to north (mandaue – consolacion – liloan – compostela – danao). It is around 27Km drive or less from SM City Cebu.
